At home in the country and in the city, this 2016 4WD Toyota Tacoma SR5 has been wonderfully refined to handle any occasion. Smooth steering, superior acceleration and a supple ride are just a few of its qualities. In addition to being well-cared for, this Toyota Tacoma has very low mileage making it a rare find. More information about the 2016 Toyota Tacoma: The Tacoma starts at just above $23,000, and competes with other compact pickup trucks like the Chevrolet Colorado and the Nissan Frontier. However, neither of these competitors has Toyota's reputation for quality, safety and longevity. Unlike full-sized trucks, the Tacoma is small enough to make sense in both urban and suburban environments. The Tacoma can maneuver nimbly in tight parking lots, and its turning radius is kept reasonable. At the same time, the Tacoma offers the kind of utility that compact SUVs can only dream of. With a broad range of customization options, the Tacoma offers a surprisingly amount of comfort, and even gives owners the kind of interior space normally found in sedans. The Tacoma is truly a 'do-everything' vehicle. Prior to purchase, I saw mixed reviews on the new generation. Initially the transmission seemed to be a bit jumpy. But is it a learning transmission. I took it out on a 700 mile trip through flat lands and mountain passes. The transmission settled down and is now really smooth. I would suspect if you driver it hard, the transmission will remember that and learn accordingly. The engine seems to have plenty of power and if you need a little more spunk for hills and towing, there is a button on the dash below the 4x4 nob that will change the shift patter. The seats are great. The new model seats are a bit more elevated that the previous years. Still could use a little more option for adjustment, but it is adequate. Mine has the lumbar adjustment, very effective and easy to us. I am 6 foot and I fit just fine in the truck with head room to spare. I test drove a Sport model as well. The Sport seats seem to set you lower into the seat and the bolsters were a bit to aggressive for me. I found my self having to lift myself out of the Sport seat to try to get out. The SR5 seats sit up a bit more and I just slide out of them. My SR5 came with a factory installed tonneau cover and the tow package, which I highly recommend both. Initially the suspension seemed a bit bouncy on ruff roads, but after the long drive on various roads and terrain, it seems to have settled down. Around town I am averaging 18-19 mpg. But, out on the highway at 65 to 70 mph I saw 24. Anything over 75 dropped the mileage down to 21. The truck is really easy to maneuver in parking lots/spaces. If fits well inside of the garage.

This is my 2nd Tacoma Double Cab (1st one was an 06 with a 4Runner in between). I was waiting for the new Ford Ranger but ended up purchasing the TRD Off Road 4X4 because I couldn't pass up the year end deal. It is a solid truck, and will be for many years of ownership. While I agree with the transmission complaints, it does get better gas mileage than my 06 by a couple of MPGs. I don't use the cruise control in the mountains as it will shift and rev constantly. To me that is a small annoyance I have learned to live with. The radar cruise control on flat terrain works great. I am average height and lived with the seating position in my previous model. Not a problem for me. The Crawl Control is outstanding! I am confident this truck will get me out of most off road situations. Also, I was originally looking at the Limited model, but that model uses the standard base model shocks. The upgraded Bilsteins on the TRD Off Road ride much nicer in my opinion and the off road tires are surprisingly quite at speed. My only real complaint, and it is minor, is that the central locking does not lock the tail gate. You have to pull the key out of the fob to lock it. If that is my only real compliant, then I made the right choice.

i own a 2017 double cab, reliable but very simple inside, the engine is not that great, it is slow feels like the transmision is slow to change gears, it is not a gas saver truck, the sound sistem is bad, the radio is already giving me problems.
